I was wondering If any one had theses cams in there bikes with higher than advertized compression (9.5 to 1)?
I have small chambered heads (78ccs)and a 95 in big bore kit. I was using a crappy compression calculator and it gave me some bogus info.
I switch to another one and it went from 9.6 to 10 to 1, and then I went to another one and it reconfermed the second one!
I think there is a posibility the the bike would run ok, but on the touring fourms a couple of guys had close to 10 to 1 and there heavier bike rattled on premium 93. I live in Cali and we have 91 at the pump so i am a little unsure of what im going to get! I called my Inde and he could only give me limited info because he only uses S&S cams

Can't help with your question mentor, but,
I do know that Andrews manufactures the cams for SnS. Same cam.
RE: anyone have Andrews 37s with high compression?
I have the TW37H chain drive cams for 2006 Dyna Engine. My head builder set me up at 9.8 to one compression ratio. I am 99% sure he cc'd my chambers to 82cc and we used an .030 cometic headgasket (flatop 95" SE pistons). Your 78cc heads seem a little small but you could make some of that up with a thicker head gasket....
I DO get some pinging going up the mountains in rural AZ, especially on hot days. I don't think the 91 gas is very good in the boondocks. I keep my bike very light and don't ride 2 up. With this cam you must ride a little more like a sportster and keep revs up, and sometimes stay in 5th on grades instead of using 6th.
