very irritating problem

i have a 2012 street bob and recently changed the rear fender to 07 lowrider rear fender...i bought a intergrated tail light from ebay so i can ditch the side turn signals...

now the problem is my buddy followed the wiring diagram from his fxdxt, plugged it in and it lit up...left signal worked, right signal worked but when it came the to brake lights, the turn signals lit up instead of the center light. We switched the light to my friends bike and the tail light worked fine.

then i followed this wiring diagram (ONLY DIFF THAT WAS ON THE 6 PIN SOCKET 1 & 2 WERE REVERSED)

this time the right signal stayed on didnt work, left signal worked but the brake light worked...

if anyone has done this conversion to there street bob...PLEASE

What brand of Tail light did you get? I bought the Kuryakan LED integrated and it was pretty plug and play. I would check the manufacturers web site for wiring diagram.

Chances are you have the wrong light, with the new canbus system if you buy any electrical parts it needs to be specific to 12+ as I understand it.

The description for that one on eBay says up to 2010 Dynas so as suggested it looks like you need on specifically for your 2012

You also need a wiring diagram for YOUR bike. You can't just grab some random diagram from any old bike.

It's not the right light for your bike but you might be able to jerry rig it their site says

Wiring
black wire-> ground
white--> taillight
black->brake
yellow/blue wires-> turn signals
