Problem Shifting
I have a 2000 Dyna Superglide Sport. Yesterday I removed the outer primary, compensating sprocket, and clutch hub to seal the primary-to -transmission mounting bolts because I had a leak. I got everything torqued down and put back together and went for a test ride. She shifted into first thru fifth no problem, when I went to down shift it was extremely hard to get back down to first. With the engine running and the clutch engaged I can't shift to neutral or second. The clutch seems to be disengaging the transmission, I don't understand why I'm having this problem. At first I thought I had the clutch adjustment way out of wack...I adjusted it per the manual and I still have a problem. Does anyone know what I missed and/or screwed up?????

Usually if you take something apart and it ain't working right when put back together you did something wrong. But, I had a problem with my 06 glide not wanting to downshiftand not wanting to go into nuetral or first. There is a rodfrom the clutch throughthe primary into the tranny. It had rusted from lack of lubricant. Just an idea.
