After a little over three weeks of waiting, I finally get my wheels in only to find that they have multiple dimples/blemishes on both rims & 5 of the spokes on the front rim are not seated properly..... Talk about being bummed out & pissed off at the same damn time Gotta send them back and hope the turn around time is quicker this time... See attached image for pics... 18x5.5 rear and 21x3.5 front....
128 the RIGHT way to do it, yes is to tear down, coat and assemble... this allows the wheel to be trued and adjusted if needed... that said, we also coat the wheel as a whole as some peoples budget/desired look requires the wheel shot as a whole... i always make sure to completely explain this to customers... and like all our wheels we use dyna beads to balance, this will typically clean up issues if there are any... and we can always true the wheel prior to shooting it as well... this is how i did the wheels on my cafe build as i wanted them to look like a solid wheel as opposed to rim and spokes... came out wicked
Can you post close-up pics of the spoke seatings and blems?
After cleaning the wheels up a bit, some of the marks I noticed initially were not what I thought... I do however have a dimple on the rear rim and three on the front rim. The front rim also has 5 spokes that are not seated properly. Gonna call Ridewright tomorrow to try and rectify this. With spending a little over two grand for the wheels- I feel like there are certain things you should expect when dropping that amount of coin.... Have no experience with working on rims and I am very hesitant to attempt to seat the spokes properly myself.
Got my wheels back from RideWright and they look awesome!!!! Gotta say Ridewright did an awesome job addressing the issues I pointed out to them without any hassle... Will post pics once I put them on... Gotta install wheels & Joker Machine front & rear signals and will be done for the rest of the year Just in time for my 1000 mile ride from Maryland to Tampa...
