There is no hd mechanic out there that is not in a rush to put things back together. The stealers are in a rush put pressure on the mech. There will be scratches somewhere on the bike and I hope you will notice when you pick the bike up. I had a new tire put on my rim I put the tire back on my bike. Inoticed a slice on the tire from when they useda knife to take the plastic off the tire. Drove the bike to the stealer and told them what had happen after a argument I ate the tire. They told me that it must of happen when I was ridding They would never let something like that outof the dealer.Good luck

This is not the case with all dealers. I've caught a couple of minor porblems with my bike after being at the dearler's and they have always fixed it with no argument. Last year when they hooked up my starter cable they let it touch my rear header pipe melting the crap out of it. the replaced the cable and cleaned the pipe without any hesitation. Harley does have them in a tight spot when it comes to how much time they will pay for warranty work.

when I take mine in for something, I always get it back cleaned and polished, and even in all the nooks and crannies.

its not the cover, but the battery holder itself.
remove the cover, and you willsee whatscalled the battery caddy.
looking at it, the lower left bolt i think is the 1.
do a search, theres a link to the recall documnet somewhere. M1199 was the number for the recall doc.
remove the bolt, add loctite and replace. not sure if ya have to remove battery to see it. haven t done mine yet.

I just spoke to my dealer about the handlebar recall and they have not heard much about it yet. They are not sure what the "repair" is for the handle bars is yet. Said to give them a call in a few weeks. Accord to the recall it said the stealer would be getting something in about it on Monday 22 Jan 2007. So I figure it will be about 2-3 weeks before I can get my bars done.
