12" mini ape info...suggestions please
'12 Street Bob. I like the stock mini ape ok but would like 12" mini ape. I like the wrist angle on the stock mini apes and would like to find something just a little taller with that same wrist angle.
I do not have built in risers so now have the stock bar on 1.5" riser. Thought about going to 3.5" riser but not sure how it would look.
Anyone know if Santee 12" apes will fit with stock cables?
Suggestions? thanks

I bought someone's take off stock FXDB bars, cables and brake line. I just added 4" risers and it has pushed all the cables and brake line to their limits and I had to extend the wires to internally wire the bars.

So, to answer your question, I don't think your lines will be long enough and I like the look of my 10" bars on my risers alright, but I think taller bars actually look better with shorter risers. If I could've afforded it, I would have gone 12-14" bars on shorty risers.

I have 10" mini apes on my 09 fxdc, and added 4" risers instead of replacing the bars.
I wanted that couple extra inches in height.
It took about 10 minutes, and the wiring and cables all worked.
