Well I got first hand experience now. Wife and I road up to the Mountain Music and Motorcycle Festival at Mountain Veiw Arkansas last weekend. I was a little dissapointed with the festivities. But the ride was a blast. Hwy 5 North out of Drasco is beautiful. Scared the crap out of me the first time I heard the pipes make contact with the pavement. I sure would have thought that the pegs would have hit before the pipes did. Getting ready to change out the pipes to the V & H Bigshots soon anyway. Will these make contact with the pavement too?

 

they will be close. i had the same issue i took a corner hard and was expecting the foot peg to kick up but it never did al i have now is a big black line on my bottom pipe

 

Just try to lean your body more and the bike less, you can avoid alot of component dragging.

 

Well I was riding two-up. But my wife only weighs 100# soaking wet. I got a pretty high score on my chicken stripes too. Probably only had a 1/2" of unused rubber.

 

I drag my V&H 2into2 pipes sometimes its a expensive sound haha.

 

I had V&H slip ons on my Wide Glide and dragged them through a corner 2 up the week after installing.....scared, then annoyed. Switched out to Big Shots before Sturgis and no issues now even 2 up!
