For those that have bought this already...

Is the chrome ring removable? I like the gauge and like that it has the fuel level feature but by the time I buy the sender for the sportster Ill have about the same amount as the Dakota Digital gauge. Chrome will look like crap on my bike im just wondering if it can be removed and painted. Thanks!

I don't believe so. It appears to be an integral part of the assembly.

Saw one at the dealer today as a display model on the counter. It had an enclosure on the side with a push button. Snazzy looking although at first I thought the whole thing was like a HD branded alarm clock.

Fuel Indicator and everything else seems to be working fine. Just took it for a spin today. I just have ONE MORE QUESTION for you. When I filled up I reset my "Trip A" to "0" miles and tried resetting my "Trip B" to zero miles as well. For some reason it is not letting me reset my "Trip B." I've basically tried everything and it will not reset. Have you had the same problem? Thanks!

That is the countdown when you install it, you have 31.8 miles or something like that to make sure it works correctly before it locks to your ecm, once it counts down to zero it will work normally.

I just posted a report on how my new one is working.

I have a question: Everyone so far has mounted this in their dash and the trip reset button is on the console. .what about mounting it on your bars, how would you use the trip reset. .? I know normally FXD/Sportster mounted gauges have a trip reset button on the back of the speedo itself. .does this one?

I figured it out. The switch is just hanging from the wiring harness that plugs into the speedo, so it can be mounted anywhere.
