I want this kit, since I'm coming from mid controls I think I'm gonna try and cut my shift linkage out of the primary instead of removing inner and outer covers. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...g-primary.html
I left my mid shift shaft in place and hasn't caused any problems. Gives me (or more likely the next owner) the option of easily going back.
I left mine in place and secured it in place using one of the brackets that FXD2003Rider pictured earlier in this thread.

Last week the dealer received the kit and made the work. It wasn't easy as we thinked. On the right side the original exhaust system is too low and forward to use the original holes on the frame. He made two plate to move down and forward the brackets attacks points, than the brackets have been recurved to have the same highness and level of the left footboard. We need to cut a piece of the exhaust cover and the brake rod it had also been modified.
Now I've to wait for the Spring to ride some miles...
Hello Wolf,
I have a Fat Bob and I would do the same transformation like you.
I ordered the 50500247 Harley kit.
I would like to know your feedback about driving with transformation on your Harley ?
I have a question concerning the description of the work you have done to the dealer.
You talk about recurved braket to have the same higeness of the left footrest.
Could you tell me how the dealer process for recurved the brakets ?
