2011 FXDWG
I bought it in May 2012 with 9500 miles on it. In the 3 months/3500 miles since, I've replaced the right rear tail light three times.
It's only the turn/brake filament that's burning up. And it does look burnt, not simply broken/shaken loose. I know QC on 1157 bulbs is probably not terribly stringent, but still.
It's not like it's happening right after I ride in the rain, or after I hit a particularly nasty railroad crossing.
All other lights and (as far as I can tell) all other electrics work fine.
A couple of weeks ago I relocated my turn signals and license plate with the Great Bike Gear bracket, and in the process I pulled and checked the wiring and connections on both sides - no breaks, rubs, or kinks in the wires.
So ... something wrong?
Normal for a rumbly Harley to shake stuff loose?
And would an LED run/turn/brake conversion solve this?
Same thing happened to me. Went through about 8 bulbs, every brand I could get a hold of. Very frustrating!! I switched to the Run-Brake-Turn LED strip last week
Usually blowing bulbs when its just one bulb is down to a poor contact, either a loose connector or the bulb socket.
I haven't pulled the bulb socket out and checked it yet. I'll hit that tonight.

Nope - I checked the wires end-to-end when I moved the signals and license plate.

Pics of your lights from the back? What brand/where did you get them?
Did you buy a motorcycle specific bulb? My guess is that you picked up a standard car bulb. The bike ones have more support arms on the filament avoiding breakage.
