How is the Day Tripper for all day riding comfort? Thinking about running one on a Fat Bob.
I know people like the Vintage Wide for comfort but I'm looking for something sleeker and will still keep me low on the bike. I tried the maxi-pad seats and didn't like the feel of sitting on top of the tank or feeling like my feet barley touching the ground.
i tried one it felt good but not great , i bought a sick saddle that feels better but tripper looks cooler . ps mine was the solo tripper not daytripper

I had a solo vintage wide seat and it felt great but was ugly,in my opinion,
so I got a solo day tripper. The seat is very firm and it will take a while to break your *** in. It isn't an all day seat, even though I've done 12hr days on a couple of different occasions. I like it but it has it's limits.

This has been my experience as well. I have a Mustang Vintage Wide Touring seat and a Daytripper solo with passenger pillion. The day tripper is OK but really isn't a ride all day kind of seat. With the Vintage Wide the only reason I need to get off the bike is to fill the gas tank.
You might consider a Danny Gray Weekday solo seat. I have the mustang vintage solo and the lepera bare bones also. The danny gray is a nice compromise between the two in my opinion.
I have the solo tripper. Looks sick and holds you in place when you crack the whip but your azz gets sore towards the end of the day. Definitely not one of the most comfortable seats out there. It's made from some different material that doesn't let you slide off
It was firm compared to my spongy stock solo, after riding it for a while it felt ok. Not sure about super long trips, there is a small hump in the back to help keep you planted without sliding off.
I might be getting rid of mine soon to look for a mustang vintage so I can enjoy less stopping.
Bought mine used with a few thousand miles on it, so for some it is more comfortable than others. Maybe other factors like size and weight contribute to comfort.
