Well started my stage IV build today and I must say I'm surprised how easy things are going. I say this because I typically have the worst luck ever when it comes to doing stuff like this. Anyway, here is what I'm doing...
I'm almost done. Tomorrow will be cams, adjustable pushrods, S&S lifters, S/E compensator, and big city thunder baffles. I'll post some more pics tomorrow after its all said and done...
I'm curious/anxious to see how it will run too. After I'm done putting it together I'm going to take it to my local HD and have them put a break in MAP. For the money the kit comes with quite a bit of stuff.
The only thing I didn't change is the exhaust. When I bought the bike it came with V&H short shots, which I don't like, but after buying all the parts spending another 800 bones just wasn't in the cards. I did buy the big city thunder baffles, which I'm told will help or at least I hope...
It'll put me at a 103. The kit comes with, jugs, pistons, cams, manifold, 58mm throttle body, injectors, pushrods, and a gasket kit. Not to badly priced either. Here at my HD shop you can get it for $1850...
the dealer download is fine in the beginning but I recommend you saving a bit of cash for a 2-1 pipe to get the most out of it. getting it dyno'd is the way to go if you can afford it. SE tuner or even better would be the TTS tuner. Good luck and enjoy
I have the SERT and it is gonna be dyno tuned. Gonna save a bit for the exhaust. To tune it is gonna cost another 300 bones, so it's adding up quick. Lol
