On my 2000 fxd, i took off the 4 inch straight risers and drag bar and replaced with 4 inch curved risers and the stock style bars- brought my reach back like 6 inches. plenty of length for the switch wiring. clutch cable reaches. brake line is tight. i moved the hard line portion of the line that is attached under the trees, so it pivoted towards the tank, and adjusted the bend in order to reach. it works, but its tight- the rubber hose portion of the line on top has no play- whereas on a stock set up, its not taught at all. i can probably get another half inch or so of slack by adjusting the bend- should i be worried about the rubber part of the hose? also, i have a lot of length left on the throttle cables, which i find odd cus the previous set up was a shorter distance. the cable bulge out to about the front of the headlight. other than looks, if it works and doesn't bind, is this ok for now? i will probably work on replacing the cables and lines over the winter.
you can re bend not only the lower metal part but also the section by the master as well... super easy just go slow when you bend it... you can get 2-3 more inches that way as well as moving the mount location on the bolt under the tree you can slide that more towards the caliper and tend to get another inch that way

yeah, i did that a little, turned the position by barely loosening the banjo bolt, and turned the lower section of line attached below the trees, toward the tank. i'm just worried about the stress of the rubber hose up by the bars.
