i could use some advice please.
FXDWG 2010.
8k miles.
it gets the death wobble at 80mph, no problems under that.
had new night dragons fitted 3k ago, and all has been fine up till now.
wheels are in correctly, and torqued as per manual.
spokes are tight, and there doesnt seem to be any play in the wheel bearings.
had tyres checked. fitted correctly, and in right directional flow. correct air pressure, and no apparent cracks, gouges etc.
the only thing ive not had chance to do yet is the fall away. tried the old test for loose headstock bearings, as you would on other bikes, and again no play.
Had the wobbles on my old shovelhead. It was the cheap 16" apes that would flex. Put solid drag bars on it. Problem solved.
Sporty had it too. New tires and it's solid as a rock.
Fork braces seem to be kinda popular with the narrow glide front end.... Might be an option.. Being a 2010 though, you'd expect it to be pretty sold, no?
Before you add things like fork braces and intiminators find the real source of the problem. I know plenty of people that have the newer WG and none have that issue. Something is not setup properly.
Are the tires lined up on the wheel properly? There should be a mark on the tire that lines up with the valve stem. Are they balanced properly? Double check everything else again.

I had this problem on my street bob ended up being a wheel out of balance
thanks guys.
ive ran the tyres for a 2k trip across europe. no problems at all.
only just had the "death weave" so whatever has gone bad, has only just gone bad. will get wheel balanced and check the drop off, then update you.
