Greetings one and all. When I purchased my scoot originally, I took the bike to the stealership for service, but I am about to start doing it myself. I was giving the bike a once over yesterday and the AC is bent, didn't know that. So i am going to replace it. My question is can I just swap it with a K&N and call it good, or no? My buddy (who doesnt ride btw but is a total gear head) said that he thinks that I may need to tune it due to more air flow.....I dont know Im still learning. What so you? Thanks for the advice. Oh, its a 07 FXDC, the only other mod I did engine wise is pipes. Thanks.
Yes, I kept the o2 sensors on the pipes. My scoot is due for maintenance in about 800 miles and was going to replace the filter. So could i get a replacement or does the entire intake need a replacement? Hooray for being the new learning guy LOL
I went DK for a new AC, looks good and is top quality and considerably cheaper than an SE heavy breather or comparable kit from K&N.
I myself went with an actual tuner as opposed to Xieds... now as more things such as Cams, throttle body etc get replaced/upgraded, it makes life easier.
