FXDWG Evo or TC?
Today I went to see two Dynas and ended up with the best one out of two: 06!!!

I'm really surprised by the performance, I must say.
I have never owned HD, but this one goes like a stink

From tomorrow, I'll be dealing with new paint choice and leaking fork seal.
Could someone confirm the fork oil capacity and viscosity as well?
How do I get to the seal?
Does it seat in the alloy "part", on top of the lower fork?
BTW, there's no info on the primary bearing but I cannot hear any disturbing noises coming out from the engine.
Do I have to start worrying?
According to the speedo, there's 20.000 something miles on it.
The engine gets hot though

Is there a place I could get an owners manual from?
Good luck and ride safe.
You'll want to get a motorcycle jack and modify it to work on the Dynas (there's a thread in the Dyna section) to make doing the forks and other work a breeze. Post up some pics when you can.
I juggled with EVO vs TC, EFI vs. carb, Road King Vs. Wide Glide, 5sp vs 6sp, etc, etc. Ended up going with an '04 WG non EFI. It was the right price, 1 owner, mostly stock other than upgraded pipes and some other add ons but nothing major.
Never owned an EVO so I'm not well versed, I been aroudn them and can say that they certainly do have a better classic harley sound in my opinion.
I would have liked to go with a RK as I like the classic looks of the RK, the added comfort for longer distances, the hard bags for storage, etc. When I sat on one it just seemed like a lot of bike at that moment, but I think it could be easily acclimated.
However, I also like that look old school look of the Wide Glide too so it was tough choice I guess.
My plan is to see how things go with WG and maybe upgrade to RK later on or hell, pay off WG keep it and buy RK next? Never know, but then again there's a lot of Harleys I like other than these models as well.
I think you made the right choice, it don't matter what anyone says really, as long as you like the bike, it fits you as a person and feel you got a fair deal thats all that matters.
Some peopel can say "you should have bought a CVO model or Street GLide" well...truth is they dont have to pay for it, you do!

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
Right, I'm taking yellow parts to the painters, to put pearl black or graphite, should have it painted next week so post up some pics then.
There's been talk about metallic red / cherry or alpine white colour but that's the last choice for now.
I have also ordered fuel tank cap, mirror and few others, to replace scratched ones.
For the moment I'm trying to fix a leaking front end.
Now I really need to know what's the capacity of fork oil and it's weight.
I have cheched on the net but my search was unssuccesful.
Could someone please, please help? - 2006 Dyna Wide Glide - 49mm forks
I took my bike for a spin today, 150 miles, performed flawlessly apart of... front end.
