classic style ... (vice the '10 and later that totally changed the look) ...
I am referring to the prominent features that changed ... the 'bob tail' rear fender, the chromed out look and the stock 'mini apes' ... which were long-time features of the Wide Glide up until '09 when it was discontinued ... when it was brought back, the vibe was a lot different IMHO ...
Guys, I have stumbled on two problems and I need some advice.
1) trying to fix the Wide Glide clunk but I can't undo the stem nut.
I have been applying WD-40 to the stem / nut for the last 3 days and trying to undo the f... nut but no luck!
I have tried extension bar, tapping to release the tension but the nut will not let go.
Perhaps it's a left hand thread nut ( not mentioned in the manual though ) and I'm going the wrong way?
2) swingarm lateral play, "small" but it's there.
Are the bearings shot or maybe I can adjust the play somehow?
If it's bearings fault, will I have to remove the whole primary off?
My advice? Start a new thread with your questions as the topic.... Who's going to read 5 pages of TC vs EVO to address stem nuts and swingarm bearings?
