Default Chromed out stock bars

I have pretty much decided that new apes are a long ways off. Has anyone out there just chromed out the switches, added internal wiring and maybe steel braided cables on a stock set of street bob bars? I'm real curious to see if its worth doing or if I should just wait for money for new bars altogether..

Me I'd wait because your going to spend quite a bite on just those parts its the same labor to instal the braided cables if the are stock or +6. Check out ebay they have smokin hot deals on bars all the time.

Chrome switch housings and braided cables is the expensive part. Chrome mini apes only run about 50 bucks. If you're doing the switch housings, cables, master cyl, and clutch clamp, I'd do the bars at the same time. For one thing, you will most likely need longer cables when you go to tha apes and you won't want to buy stock length now and then replace them when you change the bars.

i would wait.why waste good money on the cables for the bars you dont want.then you would have to buy them twice if you did change them.what size apes you looking to buy?i just bought a set of 14-1/2 chubby apes for 85.00.buy your bars first, then slowly buy the rest.sooner or later you will have it all.i always say why settle for something that you wont enjoy.trust me it will bother the hell out of you if you just did the stock bars.but if you need to know where i got my apes at here is the link.
