Default Rocker Covers Won't Budge

I got some powdered rocker covers from Joe, bolts are all out but the things won't budge. I've tried a rubber mallet and even tried prying in between with no luck. Any pointers?

tighten everything back up then start it up and let it run for a little while to let them get warm and expand?? just a thought...

+1 on letting it warm up... with a rubber mallet should work if you work your way around it... DO NOT try to pry between or they will leak forever

Yep never pry anything on a head (or anything that requires a seal between two flat surfaces), always warm up and use a rubber mallet to tap it loose. When you pry on such soft metal it will damage the flat surface really easy. Make sure to inspect where you pried to ensure no damage was done. If there is any, you will have a leak.

"Pry" was a bad word choice...i wasn't jamming a butter knife in between them or anything. I had a towel around the tip of a blunt piece of metal and was hammering up, but regardless, I agree, not the best route.

Anyways, got the bike warm and they popped off no problem. Thanks for the pointers guys.
