Cams or Tuner?
Like other folks, I am starting to get the itch for Cams. However, I am running the Dobeck TFI tuner and was wondering if that would work well enough with new cams, or should I spend the money on a better tuner first, then tackle the cams?
Thanks for your input!

Your going to need a tuner that can add more than just fuel in every rpm range so fuel and timing can be adjusted in the rpm range the cam "turns on" in.
If your current set up is versatile then keep it.
If your going work SE 255s any enrichment system will work due to them not being very radical

The dobeck seems easy enough to adjust,IMO you should contact them and find out about it's capacities. I watched the tuning video on their site, that yellow pot reminds me of tuning a guitar! Adjust for smooth uniform sound and your good!
If it were that simple, why would complicated machines like dyno tables, tts, PV, or t-max even exist?

You know i thought there was a big swing in the tune but went with a very rich tune on my PCIII to a Stage 1 download and the bike still runs very good...i am gonna try this for a while...If you can get it close it will work...
