Default Hmmmm....think I need some help and advice here :-(

My '07 Bob threw a U1097 Loss of Speedometer Serial data TSM/TSSM fault code again whilst I was out and about again. No apparent downside anywhere on the bike that I could see and so I checked and cleared the code via the speedo. Rode home and it's not happened again. Went out and checked it again this morning and all is still good.

Kinda random and intermittent - so I am inclined to not worry until something is obvious that's triggering it?

Thoughts...............

As always my thanks to you guys.

In your situation with both gauges, I would check your battery power as well as connections (battery connections), usually speedo's tach's and electronics act erratically with low voltage (battery on its way out) or voltage spikes (loose connection).

Check your battery terminals. I don't know what your weather is across the pond but last year we had a cold spell then a heat wave within a few days. My electrical system got weird to say the least. Another member on the forum suggested checking the battery terminals and tighten. I tightened them up and I didn't have any other problems with it since.

Good luck
