I had to put my bike in storage for a couple of weeks everyone said to put a battery tender on it to help prevent battery problems-i purchased and had installed. Went to ride bike and all was well, started and ran well, except i noticed the speedometer was running backward. It starts out at 120 mph sitting still. As i speed up it goes down 100-90-80 and so on to about 5mph. Turn bike off it stays there, turn on it goes to between 120 an Milage indicated. Down loaded error code and all codes said none. What the crap is going on. Help and thank you.

Welcome to the forum.
As hard as it is to diagnose a problem over the internet, it helps to provide some basic info. Such as year, model, miles, mods, etc.
Without knowing any of that I would start with the basics and make sure all your battery and ground cable connections are clean and tight.
sorrry, i have owned bike for eight years. I have put 49,000 miles on it. Bike is garage kept. Cleaned up before ride and after ride. I have taken trips to the Carolinas chicago and Texas . I put it up for medical reasons. The only time i dont ride it is when i trip with wife-she does not like to ride. It is a 2006 Harley road king, original no modifications. I have checked connections grounds and also battery connections. I disconnected battery to make sure that was making connection.anything electrical i have checked. I do not know what to do. I would just buy a new Speedo but being electrical no one will let me return product and at that kind of money im Sorry i can not afford and stil;l have problem. I hope i am not sounding ungrateful . But i need help. Thank you
odometer and trail Odoms meter working fine.howeveri got speedo set to zero, i have it out of the console, plugged it in and turned it on to check-ok-put it back in console and turned it on but i turned ignition switch wrong way onto accessory
And speedo arm went to between 0 and 120. Road bike speedo went backwards to 0. Odometer and trips work. With the acc side i do not know if i was hitting it before or not. But it still not working correctly. I am trying to give you all the info i can.
thank you again.
First things first, how does the speed sensor look? I would check to see if there is a rats nest there as they may have messed up the wiring. Secondly I think the speedo is bad if the odo is working fine. If you have a friend there that you could borrow a speedo from to test to see if it is the speedo or the bike I would do so. Otherwise, PM me and let me know.
