2012 SB Mini Apes on a 2012 FXDC
I've spent the last hour searching for a answer, couldn't find it, so here's the question. When I picked up my 2012 FXDC I had the parts department get me the 2012 FXDB Mini Apes. I also got a new clutch cable, both throttle cables, a new brake line and crush washers. I looked in my service manual, and the throttle cables look pretty easy, but the clutch cable looks like a pain. It looks like there's a lot of slack in the clutch cable and brake line, and chance of getting away with not replacing everything? Thanks in advance.

How much taller are the new bars over the stock ones. I know stock cables will work on bars up to 12" tall. On my 11 wide glide i put 12" z bars and used stock street bob cables. That is clutch, 2 throttle, and brake cables. I did my install last year and i never did anything like it. Turned out to be a piece of cake. I am only about an hour away if you need a hand with the job.

I don't know if the cables are the same as my '07 FXD but all I had to do was re-route my clutch cable. You might want to give that a shot before you start digging into it. I also bent my brake line to get it to work but had to replace the throttle and return cables with longer.

Thanks for the offer Pontiac69, I'm going to trry the install tommorow, I'll send you a PM if I need any help. I looked at the clutch cable and it looks like it has a lot of slack, so if I don't have to open that up it should be pretty easy. Where in PA do you live?
