All right guys I got my HD 1/4 fairing painted and put together for the most part. Now here's the twister the **** dont line up with the brackets?
It seems like the inner brackets that attach to the fairing with self tapping screws are to narrow. Is it possible I got the brackets to the narrow glide? Or are all the brackets the same. Please chime in with your input. Im pretty bummed I wanted to have it installed so I can mob out for a ride tomorrow. Plus the fact that I paypaled some one here on the forum some money for a seat and they dont respond to PM'S now and e-mails smh. So any input on the fairing will be great.
The HD quarter fairing is made for the narrow glide. Why on earth they have not updated it as of yet beats the hell out of me. Like said before you'll have to make small spacers to offset for you mid glide or as gartec said go to bungking.com and buy their brackets. They are 100 bucks but are quality and a direct fit. I mounted mine using two turn signal relocations and some steel tubing i cut to fit for the spacers. I liked the two point set up because it allowed me the ability to pivot my fairing forward if I needed to fit something large behind it. I'll try to see if I have a pic or two.
Sorry I just got back online, glad you got it figured out. I learned from first cycles how to run it with some spacers, Livermore Harley then started running it that way, glad you got it.
