Default Rider footboard kit

Just saw this the other day. From reading about other people who pieced this kit together looks like it will fit my 06 SB. Any insight as to whether it'll work with my fwd controls as I just had them coated at the beginning of summer? Here's the link, if it doesn't work just google "harley rider footboards dyna"

Ok, now that you posted that I think we know what you are refering to.
You actually can peice together the kit for a whole lot less with seperate parts. You need the FL boards 5132208 ($68) and the pads,5061406 ($27) that is a given. The foot brake is a ton cheaper to simply buy the replacement pedal cover 3816012 ($9) and drill the hole in your brake to accomidate the cover using a unibit. Next you'll need the mounts aka Support Assy 5417412&5417212 ($58 each),Footboard support 5416512&5417312 ($45 each), 4 shoulder bolts 5067405 ($5) 4 nuts 4512A ($3.40) The rest is reusing existing hardward with maybe depending on your bike a couple of bolts and some Loctitte. I would recommend a T-45 Stardrive socket. I did this on my FXDF. Prices are approximate and I don't know what HD charges for the pre-packaged kit but what ever this is an option plus a lot is availble used like the boards which I have seen for under $40 for the set and all you do is remove the pads, clean them up, rattle can them, and install some new pads.

Sounds like a good deal. Did you use OEM fwd controls? It looks like the shift linkage is the same but I'm not sure about the brake. I have fwd controls and if I can use this with the fwds I would be more inclined to piece the parts needed rather than shell out the bucks for the kit. Thanks again for the help.

Take a look at these,

http://s1203.photobucket.com/albums/bb395/Harley_Tim/

They are parts from the '12 Dyna Switchback (FLD). I did this mod as soon as the '12 Dyna parts manual was available at my dealer, and ordered the parts sepeartly some time ago.

There is a kit offered from the MoCo now http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=84552444877997 3&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302491567&ASSORTMEN T%3C%3East_id=2534374302491567&locale=en_US&locale =en_US&bmUID=1345991409276&bmLocale=en_US. It's listed in the '13 custom parts. It is less exspensive tha buying the parts individually unless you plan on using some of the parts from your HD forward control kit.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes....Tim(HT)

I have a link to the Instruction Sheets in my ***H-D instruction sheets database***.

This kit does not accept a heel/toe shifter.....

Looks like all I need are the supports and brake lever end cap and of course the boards themselves. I might just try this. I'll make sure to post a writeup when I do.
