2002 FXDWG Won't stay running
Have bike since new and never had any problems. Was going for a short drive, and bike just died. Felt more like electrical than fuel.while on road I put in new plugs ( though looked fine), gas was low , so went on reserve after bike started and filled. Bike ran fine for less than mile and died again.Pulled off filter ( was dirty) . gave a little ether started and ran about one mile and died again and this time ether had no affect . Had to have bike towed. Local bike mechanic completely drained tank and pulled and cleaned carburetor. Said it was common for this bike to have Bad ignition module and symptoms would be similar. Said I would be better sending it to Harley since part is $300 plus install and if not case part not returnable. I have limited funds, so I bought ignition mod on eBay and install myself. Same issue. It ran great for less than one mile, then died. Has anyone had similar problem with best fix ?
