Thinking about a windshield for my 2011 FXDWG. Looking for Feedback

I only use a windvest. To me it's the only windshield that looks right on a dyna. Had One on my sporty too. Take a look at my pics...they are a little old. I now have the windvest in a few inches. (It's the same one I had on the sporty but got the right brackets for the dyna.
You look over it, it's well made, and I have no buffeting
I had the HD compact (18.3" tall) It was to tall for me and I am 5'11" so I cut 1.5" off. I did not like looking through the windshield and with it adjusted all the way down it was right at my line of sight which was distracting. Once I cut it down I loved it. The HD has a coating that helps keep it from scratching when you clean it and is a very high quality windshield. I know this because I tried wet sanding some scratches out when I tipped over and the windshield got some scrapes. Once the coating was sanded off it looked worse than if I had just left it alone. So I decided to get a Memphis Shades 17" replacement Lexan plastic only windshield (no braces or brackets). I would have bought the HD shield but I did not like the idea of having to cut the 1.5" off again and it was 50% more then the Memphis Shade. The advantage of the HD replacement is they provide new support braces where Memphis Shades does not but I was able to pry the braces off my HD windshield and put them on the replacement.

I have the quick release sport one from Harley, I have used it maybe 2 times. Hate it.
You look thru it. even though its of a slighter size it is still tall. Creates Turbulence. Just pretty much sucks... Wanna buy it ?? LOL
We have many sizes for your bike and w/our recurve design, we recommend that you choose a shield where you'd look over by approx 1" while sitting normally and looking at the ground 50' in front of you...that way, you'll get the protection you are needing, but still have a clear view over the shield. Give me a call if you are interested...I'd love to help.

50 degree, pitch black and raining the entire 30 minute ride to work the other day and you can believe I was wanting every single inch of that windshield. Generally keep it off when warmer tho, but it's nice to have when you need it.
You can adjust a QR windshield up or down in 30 seconds if rain or other issues like bugs arise. I did it at a traffic light. Just reached over unclamped 4 clamps slide up or down and re-clamp.
When I had my 2002 WG I tried the quick disconnect shields from HD and Memphis Shades. Both caused severe head buffeting when wearing a helmet. I even started with a larger look through Memphis shield and cut it down till I was looking well over it. Made absolutely no difference to the buffeting.
The real problem was the wind coming up my legs and smacking me in the head. I did not have this issue with my FXDS. You could smoke a cigar on that bike on the interstate and the smoke likely wouldn't blow away. The shield on that bike wrapped below the turn signals and blocked that side wind.
Since then I've noticed that Memphis shades now sells a deflector that mounts on the forks below the shield. I think this would work pretty well.
