@cee Ive done a few bar swaps so Im well aware of how easy it is. What I'm worried about is the pressure thats going to be in the fuel line when I disconnect it from the tank.
Ive also check the wires at the switches and there was nothing pinched there . So I'm assuming its under the tank. Been pretty busy this weekend with the family that I haven't had a chance to work on it. Here's the photo of the gauge when it did its dance to 50 mph with no power on and ignition in the off position. I have a Tmax so I'm sure the file will be corrupted from the shity battery power. I hope I don't have to put back in my stock ECM as other have said I would have to on another forum. So my objective at the moment is to slide that that tank back pop that plastic cover and see if anything is pinched under there.
If I can't find it , its going to have to go to them mechanic. Im not good with electrical ****. I don't even know how to use a volt meter so thats why I haven't don't that yet.
There is a good thread on taking your tank off that includes a video that I used when doing mine. That is a weird one with the bike being shutoff, then doing the dance on the speedo thing.
Not trying to talk down to you with my advice, just saying what I did on my bike. It sounds like you have done more bar swaps than me anyways and have good mechanical knowledge like alot of the guys on this forum. Hope you get it sorted out and can enjoy riding, I am shutdown for winter so plenty time to work on the bike.
Ya got it running. To be honest I didn't find any dam shorts after testing all the wires. Battery was good also. Im assuming it was a pinched wire. because once I put it back together and reloaded the tmax map the **** started and rode fine???? Weird if you ask me . I also changed out the batteries in both key fobs as well.
