I just bought a 2003 FXD. 735 miles on it like new.
I ordered a Compact windshield for it.
On my old Heritage I put a windshield bag on . The leather one Harley sells that attaches to the cross bar of the shield with one bolt.
My question is this, Because I have a Speedo mounded on the handle bars and not on the dash will I still be able to mount a bag ?
Has anyone with an FXD put a windshield bag on . What type of clearance problems because of the Speedo.

I have an 02 FXD with a tach and speedo in the stock location, clearance for a bag will be a problem. I often thought about cobbling one on but those two gauges eat up some real estate.

 

I haven't found a way to put one on. Just not enough room.

 

But the tach and speedo sure look cool up there. Better just forget the bag.

When my windshield gets here I will be able to take a look and see what I can do. Sounds like not a lot. Too bad cuz I like to put my glasses inside the bag.
