I put 14 road6 apes on mine with stock everything. Had enough to do 16 but it might have been pushing the limit. I have a 06 street bob

I am running 16" BR bars.... On a Road King.... No way stock anything would have worked (clutch, brake, or wires)

I'm running 18's on my dyna. No way stock cables would have worked for 16's I doubt 14's, but some of you say you have done it so, i guess so,. but for 16's you definately gett longer cables and wires.

by the way, very nice ride C.H.L.

i'm running the 10" street bob mini apes with 3" risers. i used stocked street bob cables to do it. i imagine one more inch wouldn't be too much either so the 14"s will probably work with stock.

You need +8" cables for 16" apes. On a 2006 it is a fair amount of work but none if it is difficult, just time consuming. I would definitely get 16" apes I am a bit shorter than you run 16"'s without issue, but it is a personal choice.
