It's always "Buyer Beware", never be embarrassed to shop and negotiate for the best price. I spent many hrs over a couple weeks at 4 HD Dealerships shopping for my 2012 FXDC, I paid $12,999.00 plus tax "Out the Door", no documentary fee for the title. It had the Big Blue pearl paint, Tubeless Rim Package, and I talked them into a reach seat at no cost to me that I picked up the following week. Yes, they ate all those options as well as the dealer prep, and freight.
I had also bought one of my other Harleys from the same Dealership.
In another instance I bought my own Tires and negotiated with the Harley Dealership to put them on for $25.00 each while I waited, the same price an Indy shop up the road was going to charge (yes I took the wheels off the bike myself, and reinstalled them). They will come off their price and be service minded if they know your shopping, and checking prices.
The only thing Harley has ever or will ever do to my bike is warranty work and that stupid *** 1,000 mile service. Anything else is either me or the indy shop.
I got a local Yamaha/Suzuki/Victory dealer that takes real good care of my ultra classic for about 1/3 the price. Same here, ill only go back to the HD stealer for warrenty work and then I always have to fight them on that **** too.
