VH HS Slipons are installed finally!
Man, those stock mufflers didn't want to give up the ghost. Yanked on them for about 1/2 hr and finally got em off. Yes, the muffler clamps were loose before anyone asks. Sound good for in the garage but really needs road test but weather not cooperating.

I have the same pipes bro, and they are the best bang for the buck. Look good and sounds great. May even remove the baffles if it's not quite playing your tune. I have the pipes, SE air cleaner, and PCIII and it was a pretty big gain by seat of the pants. goodluck

I put the Dyna slash cut slip-ons on mine but may get the V& H yet. I had the same problems with the stock mufflers. They finnally came off after giving them my blessings.

I'm relieved to hear a few othershave hadproblems removing those@#$%! mufflers besides me.I just thought someone at the factory was playing a cruel joke on me. I ended up using a hammer and fine chisel to tap them off very slowly and carefully. My Cycle Shack slip ons went right on without a hitch. They actually recommended riveting the new mufflers to the headpipe in case they vibrate loose. There's an old thread on here somewhere describing howsomeone actually had theirmufflersvibrate off the bike. Iclamped my new ones on nice and tight. No problems so far.
