I have a 2011 Super Glide Custom I purchased, my first HD. It has Vance & Hines big shots staggered and came with lots of spares parts when I brought it. It has also been lowered, I have the original suspension that has been packed in Progressive Suspension boxes. The bike seems to have almost no travel in the front forks and the back is very stiff too. I have heard that my model came with lowered suspension standard, is this true? It also vibrates a lot at idle and the handlebars shake. Does anyone know if this would be due to the Progressive suspension that has been fitted? Also how do you think the bike would handle if I was to put the original suspension back on the front and leave the rear with the lowered suspension?
the lowered look is cool and all but the taller your bike sits the better it is going to handle as far as road clearance goes. it sounds like your bike has been really lowered for a short rider. if it were my bike i would put a racetech kit (springs and gold valves) in the front end and go to a taller rear shock if it's too low.
do you know how long the rear shock is? does is have a mount relocation block installed? remove the block if it does.
vibration is normal in HD's. some more than others. post up some pic's when you get a chance. show off your new dyna!
Measure your rear shocks and see what they are eye to eye. I have redone the suspension on my 2011 superglide and have the stock shocks I will sell you cheep.
I spent 850 bucks on my front and rear, went with ricor shocks in the back and ricor intimidators
@oldlefty... Hi I am not sure what a mount relocation block is? Attached is a picture of my ride and the rear shocks. I was thinking of putting original Springs back in the front and leaving the back springs as I like them, do you think this would handle ok? Thanks for your help...

it looks like the rear shocks your running are progressive 412's, the ride they give is comparable to the stock shocks unless they are 1" shorter and/or the heavy duty version(?) if so the ride is going to suffer. It would be quick and easy to re-install the oem and give them a try. I personally wouldnt reinstall the mushy oem front springs when you can get progressive standard length springs for cheap. I picked mine up for 58.00. Maybe not the best route but the ride & handling is way better than stock...
