The only reason I wouldn't go for a batwing is damn near everybody else has one. There is a reason for that though they work.I ran a short tinted windshield last summer I liked it OK for long trips but not enough to keep it on though.
You guys pushed me over the edge and I ordered a batwing tonight.
I also see from your picture that you were able to get the batwing on without removing/relocating your turn signals which is what I plan on doing for now and may relocate them eventually.
I did relocate my turn signals because they were not visable enough where they were.
Hello all
I had thought about fitting one but my ride is an fxdxi and it sits tall. I love the look of the street glide but not sure if that look could be pulled of by the shorter bike. Also the bars would have to be the same height as the hand blips on the fairing. Not sure if you can get a scaled down version of a bat-wing so the proportions are to scale.
tbone.
They do make a scaled down version for Dynas and Sportsters it even has a smaller cut out for the head light.I think they look good but some don't like the smaller head light.I'm saving my money for a bagger but if I planned on keeping my Dyna I'd probable get one.

There are plenty of pics in this thread and others showing what various Dyna's looks like with the Batwing fairing from Memphis Shades and other manufacturers. For me, the looks are secondary. This is all about being able to ride down the highway for hours at a time at 70-80 MPH in relative comfort. I've tried it with the detachable windshield and lowers that I currently have and it's not a pleasant experience for me.

I did the same thing and believe me, though not perfect the MS
Batwing beats the heck out of a detachable windshield.

I'll +1 on that. Had the Memphis Shades FXD batwing on my '09 FXD, until a deer crushed it. Will have back on in a couple of month. I hated putting the windshield back on, but it is better then nothing.

I'm pretty sure that due to your stock bar height you'll have to relocate the turn sigs. The stock mini apes on mine just happen to be high enough that I didn't have to relocate.
