They look like simple textile bags, maybe a leather flap, maybe not. They look very small and to be honest, pretty useless.
I know that everything on Craigslist is overpriced nowadays and I paid $600.00 for Just Leathers bags for my Wide Glide which I thought was outrageous at the time, but these small, textile little bags don't seem to justify the money.
Not trying to "dis" anyone or their bags, just curious. What am I missing.?? What makes them so valuable.??
First off they made these for a few years only, so not many out there, as for size they are expandable bags, look small but can carry alot and last are detachable
T-Sport bags were always popular even when the bike was in production. Some of us don't care for big leather cowboy style saddlebags with a buncha gay looking studs on them.
I'm with you.. I think they are over rated. My plain leather bags are detachable and I'm sure carry more than the expanded textile bag, original and replicas... Just my thoughts. And my bags didn't cost $1000...
main reason for fxdxt bag popularity out here in the bay area is because you can get them tight close to the bike for when you need to zoom up traffic, the leather bags well, they don't get any closer to you bike that what they are when you get them. Im pretty sure my fxdxt replicas fit 4 12 packs of soda + (coulda fit more) in each bag, need any more that that and ill buy a tour pack... (not)
The leather pros actually have a great price tag. If I ever start having problems splitting lanes in the Bay Area, they might be an option. I wish they had a support underneath so when the bag is expanded it won't sag and wish they were outfitted with a cross strap to cinch any excess down when you do have to expand the bag. In the pics I just saw I couldn't tell if there were either of my suggestions.
