Gratz on the new WG, I got mine last June and love it. I have extended the forward controls a few more inches, I'm 6'5" and put a mustang touring seat on so the wife would stop bitching, I mentioned a smaller woman could sit the pad ok, she mentioned the bike wouldn't fit in my hospital room lol, getting ready to change the exhaust then doing a backrest and some bags. Was just out today riding, 33 degrees but it was a good day.

Have fun post more picks

Great looking bike! Congratulations.
Pythons slip ons are nice. I ran those for awhile before I switched over to the bassani 2-1.

nice. took mine for a quick ride today as well after installing the new license plate bracket. how'd you extend the forward controls? does harley make a kit for that? i may check into the seat. my wife is a pretty petite woman (5'4", 120lbs) but after a half hour ride she said it wasn't very comfortable. haha.

i like them. they're louder but not obnoxious and provide a deeper exhaust note.

that may happen. just not anytime soon. with everything i'm doing to the bronco i can't afford to go crazy with the bike. just a few things.

so in case anyone is having a hard time finding images of the harley license plate relocation bracket for the 2010 and later wide glide...here ya go...

personally i hate how that looks. so i went with the Great Bike Gear one. its $60 cheaper and looks a l lot cleaner.
here's the install....

build plan (i'll * when complete) :
louder slip ons*
license plate/turn signal relocation bracket*
upgrade rear sissy bar to provide actual backrest
rear brake light set in backrest
saddle bags
black vance and hines pipes
upgrade air intake/filter
LED's all around

first things first....put the bike on a stand. the directions "suggest" doing this in order to unbolt the swing arm from the shocks and lower the tire. DO IT! since i don't have a bike jack, i used a transmission jack and an ammo can to raise it and hold it in place.
then i unbolted the swing arm and lowered the tire.

unbolt the license plate bracket. these are the two bolts holding it in place.

these 3 screws are the only ones holding the license plate light to the license plate bracket.

and the light hangs free....

you can see here how the wiring for the turn signal is run. the license plate light wiring is run the same way. theres a single bolt here that connects the turn signals too.

follow the wiring all the way under the seat. remove the seats. unbolt the rear seat, slide it forward and it pops right off and reveals the bolt holding the front seat on. remove that and lift the seat off. then find the connectors the for the turn signals. one should be marked with colored tape. my right turn signal has a brown sticker wrapped around both ends of the connectors.

theres a zip tie holding the wires tight. you'll want to cut that.

after that you can pull the wiring through and remove the turn signals completely. you dont need to remove the wiring for the plate light but you can if you want.

its hard to see but there's a little nipple that sticks up on the plate light. cut that off.

mount the plate light to the bracket. i ran the screws from top to bottom. the nuts actually fit inside the very well and the light holds them in place.

bracket mounted with plate light.

there are a few washers provided in the kit. put one washer between the fender and license plate bracket on the forward most bolt...i.e. this one.

the rear reflector just pops off....

tear drop covers...

here is the fun part. you have to remove the wires from the connector. not difficult but make sure you mark or take a picture or write down the order of the wires. i put and L to indicate black is on the left as i'm holding it.

using a 1/16" or smaller screwdriver or a sewing needle, pop the retaining clip on the wire side of the connector then slide the screwdriver or needle along the metal connector until you feel it stop. it's a small detent. then angle the inserted end up. you'll lift a tab holding the wire in place. then remove the wire.

do that for all three wires, route the wires through to forward hole for the turn signals and mount the turn signals. i suggest loosely mounting them as you need to reinstall the wires in the connector and then obviously reconnect them and insure they work and you installed them on the correct side. once you've confirmed the turn signals work for turn, brake and hazards, tighten the turn signals and the bracket down.

reattached the swing arm to the shocks, seats, run the wiring through the plastic keepers inside the fender and you're done.

i also popped off the front reflectors today.

the great bike gear license plate bracket is great. i wouldn't say it's necessarily worth the $130 it costs but it's a lot cheaper than the $200 harley wants for theirs that doesn't look half as good. the kit comes with everything you need to install the bracket and the instructions, while not as detailed as i'd prefer, are adequate. the bracket is made of 1/8" metal and powder coated so it'll last for a long time i'm sure. the fit is spot on.
the install took me about 3 hours but thats mainly because it took me a while to figure out how to rear move the seat and the wires from the connector, i had to go buy a smaller screwdriver. having installed this once, i could do the same install in about an hour now. its not that difficult.
