Question off MOTOR PROBLEMS Thread
This came from the Motor Problems thread / didn't want to hijack the thread so I started a new one

what year bike did you see this on? I have an issue with my check engine light coming on sometimes and then when riding the bike sputters a little and check engine light comes on. Was thinking between coil and wires might be something. Changed wires and still the same thing.
Looking at coils and not sure if I need to go with an OEM or an Accel 140409 for a few bucks more. What is everyone’s opinion on the Accel coil?
For the engine temp sensor for $30 seems kind of cheap to change to help diagnosis the problem. Has anyone had this same issue and changed this sensor out to eliminate the sputter problem?
to me several years back. I went through the troubleshooting process but found absolutely nothing wrong. After digging through a ton of posts and other resources I narrowed it down to then engine temperature sensor. Funny thing was no codes were found either but after replacing the engine temperature sensor the problem disappeared. Just my .02 cents but for the cost and aggravation I'd give it a try. Let us know what you find out.

Skinless, I started the motor problem thread and I would be more than happy for you to tack on to it! That info is there to help any and all having a problem like mine or yours! Go ahead and add it to the thread so others won't have to search other threads to find answers!
