Just a heads up, I bought this exact mount for my street bob a few weeks ago. I thought it was great when I put it on, but during my trip over the holiday, it snapped in half and I lost my license plate somewhere on the highway. Had to file a police report for the lost plate and now pay the DMV for a new plate and stickers.
I did some searches and found that lots of people have had problems with the Road 6 Customs mounts snapping in half.
Yes, mine was the 1/2 inch hole, but instead of mounting to the shock, I mounted to the hole where my belt guard mounted (I don't have a belt guard anymore) behind the shock closer to where the wheel mounts

In between the 1/2 hole and the bend. I was at the agricultural border checkpoint in California and the guard told me that the car in front of me saw my license plate fall off about a mile back. I looked down and the bolt and a piece of metal was still on there, but the plate, and the bend portion of the mount and on were gone. If that makes sense.

I tried to go look for it but couldn't find it.
I also wrote a message to Road 6 asking them if they had any advice on why it might have snapped, or how I should mount it if I got a new one - have not heard back from them yet.
