If the battery tender worked, then you probably don't need a battery. I would just wait and see if the battery can hold a charge.
There is nothing wrong with using a car battery to jump-start your bike. A 12 volt automotive battery is still a 12 volt battery. The difference in size just means more capacity. The only thing is, you can't do the jump with the car running. There is a big difference in the charging systems between a bike and a car. But there is hardly any difference in the batteries themselves.
Anybody have any input as to which tender is the best bang for the buck?
The last couple of times I've started mine it was barely able to fire. It's been riddin less lately because of how cold it's been.
I don't want to spend a couple hundred bucks if any of you fine folks have had good luck with something cheaper.
Thanks
If your Walmart doesn't have it in stock, check Advance Auto then put it in your cart online and use code P20 to knock 20% off the price and it comes out to $21.59
That's the bad thing about only having electric start on our bikes. Batteries will do that though, they may read strong one day and the next dead. It happened on my wifes car.
Alot of times the plates the short out. Seems to happen more in the heat than the cold.
A124 - $10 off $30, $25 off $70 or $40 off $110
RAF51112 - $30 off $80
HUGE50 - $50 off $175
TRT41 - $40 off $100 (as stated earlier)
Unfortunately, you can't use the codes on oil. If I have multiple things to order I will do them in a couple orders to get the biggest discount. I have an AA 5 minutes from my home so I just pick everything up and don't have to worry about shipping minimums.
