Did you clear the code with the power vision or the unit itself or not at all? Mine comes and goes no matter what I do. I am not getting any money back for mine so I'm on the quest for a solution. If the power vision fixes this thing that may be my next investment But I don't think that fixed it. You may find that a longer ride will set it off again.

When I rode home yesterday it started coming on about a mile away from the dealership. In the PV i looked at the DTC's that were stored in the bike, and there were none. Other than that all I did was load my new tune for my Stage 1 AC. When it warms up a bit here and I take a longer ride, I'll let you know if it does it or not.
UPDATE: I just went out to see if the code was still in the diagnostics on the speedo and the read out says "NONE". I let it run for about 10 minutes w/ no code.

Just an update. Talked with the ser mgr & he tells me tech had them make a copy of what is happening in the bike & e mail to them. Was told the enginers are looking at it trying to figure something.
I just find it hard to believe they haven't seen this by now
I'd like to see a solution to this but either way I'm going to stick with it till they fix it or say they can't.
I went to my dealer to pick up engine mounts. While I was there I spoke with the service manger about this issue. He said he had not encountered it as of yet but he wasn't sure if they had sold any either. He did say this "we have not run into this problem yet but it does not surprise me". I told him I had not run into this problem as I installed mine and took the bike to my builders. All I have rode the bike is to the end of my driveway.
If all this is about the code and flashing lights, I can deal wit that. It will be irritating so I will wait for a solution.
Some things just take time and patience.
I got both. Well for now anyway
So I mounted my PV to my bike and when I finished I started my bike. The check engine light was back on. I checked in the diagnostics on the speedo and that damn U1097 code was back!. Well with the PV I looked at the DTC's and it was there but I cleared it using the PV. So lets hope it stays gone!
So heres an update. I ran my bike for about 25 minutes today, and the U1097 code kept coming back. The PV did not get rid of it. I dont know what else I can do. I guess I'll be taking her back to the dealer when it warms up. I'll keep you all updated. I posted a picture of the DTC code that came up on my PV.
There will be no solution at your dealer unless they offer back your money. Most dealers know nothing about this. Read past posts. Get your money back. I'm still gonna try for a refund.
My dealer installed it and had this issue with the 1st one they put on. They are aware of it. They told me to come back when its riding time and they will see what they can do, and he has will have no issues returning it under warranty w/ in a year of the install. The only problem is I sold my stock speedo.
So I sold my original speedo on here. Harley MoCo said that because the speedo has known issues for my bike (2006 FXDBI) That they are giving me a brand new OEM Speedo and refunding the $299.95 for the speedo. They are also installing it. This was good customer service. So I will have a stock speedo back on my bike, $300 back in my pocket, and a bike that works 100% w/ no issues.
