Funny you should say that, this is the exact solution I decided upon. Thursday I'll post the results, hopefully goes nice and smooth!

Well this turned into a nightmare. Turns out one of the screws was cross-threaded, and after a dremmil, ez out, and everything else I could figure, no success. But to my joy, a replacement clutch lever bracket from j&p is only $13.

Did you try drilling the head of the screw off? There is no way that can't work and it is simple...

emmil tool and a cutoff wheel. Cut a slot in the screw head, and remove it with a flat screwdriver.

Dremmil, drill, head off, drilled as starter hole and used ez out, not a single one of them worked on the last screw. Ordered the replacement from j&p today, I'm done f****** with it....lol

When you go to replace the bolts check Ace Hardware. I got some nice allen head bolts to replace those stupid friggin torx bolts. They carry them in black or stainless and much easier to deal with and they don't strip out as easy. Don't remember the size off hand as I took the torx to the store with me and matched them by thread and size.
