Hi everyone. Been on the site for a while now but never really introduced myself. This is unfortunately my first official post. (wanted my first post to be a hello, thank you, and check out pics of my ride) Nothing like begging for help on square one! Any way, I have 2012 FXDB and need some pointers!
I'm trying to figure out where to ground my vieds. I was wondering if I can use the left side mid control mount point (photo 1)for the front one and connect the other one directly to the battery negative terminal(photo 3).
Also do you guys think it will be safe to strap the front one to the down tube and use electrical tape to cover up exposed wires?(photo 2) I'm a little worried about the heat and elements this thing will be exposed to.
I promise to throw up a proper post once all of my winter mods are complete! Just finished doing rear turn signal relocation, new saddle bags, and got the sparto and quick detach side plates painted gloss black to match the fender. I still have my V&H straightshot HS slip ons to put on.
Thank you ahead of time to everyone on this forum. I've gotten tons of information and made some great purchases here from excellent forum members!
grounded mine to a regulator bolt and to a battery box support bolt under the seat
had to open the eyelet a bit to fit the box bolt but both areas make a good ground..
