You'll find that virtually any of the aftermarket air cleaner systems will provide more than enough air for performance. The tough thing is to decide on the style you like. DK Customs has several choices as well as Figure Machine. Both are great companies to work with. The DK team is on the forums and they are always helpful with advice. They have good prices too.
Here is bit of information I learned the hard way. I recently bought a new Superglide and wanted the Stage 1 done and forward controls. I bought the standard screaming eagle air filter that fits under the standard cover. The problem is when riding with forward controls the air filter feels like a football under your right thigh. So, I bought a heavy breather and it was problem solved. More comfortable ride and performance. So if you are thinking about forward controls, do it right the first time and get a heavy breather.
BTW, if anyone wants a brand new, never been ridden Screaming Eagle Air Cleaner setup for a Dyna with a 96 in it, PM me. For sale cheap!!
Just put the same one on mine. I just couldn't spend $400+ on a PM or RSD one. I think it looks great and I only paid $205. I'm not sure why more people don't run these..
I also bought the DK Customs A/C. I got the Low Profile chrome and it alows some extra foot space for the brake pedal because the HD A/C sticks out farther and my leg would rest on it causing me to have to pigeon toe my foot to apply the brake. It looks much better than the HD "Foot Ball style" A/C and does away with the ugly aluminum casting plate that you see attaching to the engine. It is smaller in diameter also and shows more of the engine. It comes with a new reusable K&N air-filter. DK Customs also has great customer support. Communicated with Kevin a couple times.
