Thanks Kenny. I've been admiring yours since I got here. I almost got a SG because the memories of my old low rider (shovel). Just a classic the minute it rolls off the line.

I'm 6' 5" and 285. I make most bikes look small but I love my WG and it fits me fine. I have done a few mods including extending the forward controls and put a Mustang seat on it.

Little boss, what forward controls are you using and far are they extended? I have the same bike. I'm 6'3 and would like to extend mine at least 2". I figure if I extend the controls 2" and a new seat will move me back an inch I would be golden. I also need ape hangers pretty badly. The stock bar position blows for me.

I built my Street Bob to look like a 1960 FLH, but in doing so it became the most comfortable bike I have ever had. Whenever I get on my Ultra Classic, (which is much more comfy than the Goldwings I used to ride) I feel cramped. The touring bikes are great for passengers and OK for the driver. Dynas are great for the driver and suck for the passenger. Anyone that says their wife/girlfriend/domestic partner (I threw that in for laughs) loves riding on the back of a Dyna must NEVER let them test the back seat of a touring bike.

My Street Bob is my daily rider and my solo cross country bike. The FLHTCU is for two up touring.

Edit: I am 6'3" and 240lb.

I'm 6'3" 250, and my bike is great, even with the mid controls. However, I am very uncomfortable 2up on it, but I don't generally like going 2up.

Might add a road king eventually for 2up trips.

SLV & Kenny....just gotta tell you that your bikes are 2 of my favorites on this forum. I like both of your sleds.

Comfort on a Dyna is all about 3 things: controls, seat, and bars. For me, I had forwards put on my FXDC before I picked it up, I recently bought a Corbin Dual Tour seat, and I've got the stock bars because I like them & think they're comfortable the way they are. I love the look of apes, but they're not comfortable for me. I do like drag bars too, which I might consider someday if I could pick up a set of factory drag bars off of an FXDF & put extended risers on them.

I'm 6'1"+ with a 34" inseam and 215 lbs & my Dyna fits me near perfect.

I'm 6-5 @ 350, last bike I had was a D model vrod converted to forward controls. Never could get a seat that I could stay on comfortably for more than 300 miles. I raised the handlebars with some riser extensions, put on a set of styrup type footrest and that gave me a great seating position, the seat was the dealbreaker though.

I liked the looks of the street glides but I simply do not want all of the ge-gaws and whatnot they come with and the road kings just don't suit me either. Test rode a switchback and loved the way it handled, and, I was sure I could make it fit. Added a tall boy seat and that made a world of difference. Also use an Airhawk cushion I had on the vrod and I can ride the switchback all day long, no problem. I should also mention I went to a tall LRS windshield to keep the wind off me a little better. I ride solo most of the time but I'm sure riding 2 up for long distances will not be a problem either. I did have the known vibration issue with the FLD but that's been cured and I'm pretty happy except I do miss that vrod speed. The 103 in a relatively light bike feels pretty good though.

6'4" on low rider with forwards and custom seat that pushes me back about 2 inches. I find it very comfortable. Did take a little while to get used to being back toward rear of bike.
