Not your typical "which exhaust should I get" thread....but I have a chance to buy a nearly new set of V & H Staggered Big Shots -Chrome (for $150)
I have an aftermarket exhaust on now....I love the sound, but you can see in the pics they aren't "perfect". Do I care about the minor scratches? Not really.
I've listened to a few videos I could & it seems if I were to purchase the V&H I might want the quiet baffles.
I think the exhaust I have on now is "unique", but I think the V & H would look pretty good on there as well.
Should I just save the money for other mods (the only thing I really wanted to do is buy different mirrors, so nothing major planned)
And yes....money is tight. That $150 would hurt the wallet : ) (but if I would do it)
Save your money. If you Like the sound and are tight on money save it. Wait to get something else. I got rid of my stagards. Sounded good but a lot of bike runs the same pipes. I'm happy that I took mine off. Take that money and check out dk customs. Get your self a nice intake for the same money. Mine works out great.

Thanks for reading & your replies.
Keep what you got. Everyone (including me has Vance and Hines. If yours sound good and you are OK with them, ride the crap out of it. Spend the 150 on beer and gas...
Go in what ever direction your sole moves you. If you want the V & H, get them. That is a good investment. If your happy with what you got, and you want something else more, then do that.
I thought your existing pipes looked good. Different too. But, $150 for the V&H exhaust is a good deal as well. If money is that tight, I would keep the $150 for something else more important.
Your current exhaust is something I have never seen before. Dual megaphone pipes look pretty cool! You could find a really nice aftermarket air intake for $150, probably even brand new.
Thanks everyone. Yeah. I think I'm going to save the money......
I did like the unique-factor with my existing pipes.
Like others have posted....you see a lot of Big Shots, not a lot of big megaphones : )
They sound excellent & look OK.
That picture is a little older.... I've already changed the A/C & bars. Plan on relocating the headlight & new mirrors & that's about it.
If anyone is in N. Indiana w/a 99-05 Dyna & wants the Big Shots message me & I'll tell you where they can be found.
