Yeah, its a hd number. Its the controls and wire, but you have to crimp ends on to the wire. Not a big deal. What bars are you going to? I'm putting apes on the bob and bought a novello kit from JP. Around $50. A little more work involved with novello kit though. You have to pull wires out of connector, put in wire kit and then put connector back on. Shouldn't be a huge deal though.
Yeah, you slide tank back (take of quick connect fuel line on left side of bike), then you pull grommet out of frame at front of bike, for additional wire you can remove plug in front of rear wheel. Someone pulls at front and someone pushes from back. Then the deutsch connectors will come out the front of the bike out of the backbone. I haven't done it yet, but have done hours of reading to make sure I have the process down. I also have service manual for a little added comfort!
Mine came with the ends already on, I just had to do the plugs. If you have a street Bob the connections are right at the neck like mine were, Look under the back bone up at the neck and there is a plastic cover you pop out and everything is right there, No need tpush or pull any cables, You dont have tomove the tank or lift it, I didnt even have to pop out the rubber plugs on the side of the neck Maybe the pic will help, the 2005 ran all the way back to the rear, 2006 are simple. Someone was thinking...
My frame plug is bit smaller but I'll pul that our further and see, but I looked in there and it looks like the harness goes beyond that. I'll check it out further in the a.m.
03 wide glidesmust be different. I ran my hand the full length of the upper frame tube and there is no access plug hole. Only the side rubber plug that the harness is tie wrapped to. Therre is a smaller round hole on the bottom of this tube towards the back. I stuck my finger in there and there must be another channel inside the top of the frame member because at that point I could not feel the harness.
