I was wondering if any body had gone from a evo dyna to a new twincam dyna and what there thoughts were about it .any positives or negatives.I'm asking this because although I love my '93 fxdwg and love the carb'd sound I'm getting tired of fighting it when weather conditions change from hot to cold or when the elevation changes or I pick up bad gas.I want to be able to ride all year and not have to deal with constant carb problems and old gaskets blowing out.
Well I did it last sept (although its not new but I wrench Harleys and ride a lot of EFI bikes) and am very, very happy with the change....still love and respect Evo's though.
The TC cruises at 70-80mph with way less fuss than the Evo, it's leak free and generally a great bike and I love it.
If you're buying new then be prepared to stage 1 it (including a power commander or similar) before you'll begin to like it.
I didn't have an EVO Dyna but my old man had an EVO Softail and Classic that I've road quite a bit. I prefer my TC 96 that I've had for 2 years. So far I have 13K troublefree miles! Hopefully I didn't just jinx myself.
