Default Installing new handlebars

Hello, I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me if it is difficult to swap my 07 fxd bars for the fxd custom bars. Also, would anybody know what's involved in swapping bars, could I just bolt the existing cables and grips to the custom bars. Thanks very much.

The biggest issue in swaping bars is how much taller or wider are you going. You are probably good for a couple of inchs but thats about it. Once you get past that point you will need to change your brake line, clutch cable, and both throtle and idle cables. You will be able to pull some excess wiring out of the frame but if you go real high you will have to also extend the wiring. Hope this helps.

There dont seem to be a big difference between the bars on those two models,... so I dont think you will have much difficulity switching over. Themain thing that makes switching bars a lil difficult on the FXD models is that the brake line because it is straight comming down from the bars and it dont allow much bend, but an easy solution is to just change over to the Diamondback brake line and then you dont have to worry about any extra bend. What is the main difference between the bars on the FXD and the FXDC? Its kinda hard to tell from the pics on the website.

.Thanks guys for the info, the biggest difference is the width plus the turn in of the wrist is much more to my liking than the fxd bars. I noticed the difference at the dealer, they had the bikes right next to each other and the custom bars were much more comfortable to me. Thanks again for the info.
