You trying to see how many miles you have or how fast your going? It only takes a very quick glance to see your speed. I can guesstimate pretty damn close how fast I'm going just by hearing the revs and how quickly things are going by

I seldom look at my speedo when I ride, not a problem for me. I actually like the way the speedo mounted, it doesn't disturb me while I am cruising lol.

I barely look at my speedo, I can pretty much tell how fast I am going by what gear I'm in and by listening to the engine.

When you have stock pipes you really can't listen to the Engine.

I just go with my mental speedometer... I watch everything around me, as long as I'm going faster than everyone else I'm going the right speed

+1 on the DK tank lift... you can also add the trim ring... here is one we coated for a fat bob, keep the glare of the sun off the speedo

snapping on a gps dosnt take hardly any time or money and its accurate so ill go that route. sure i can listen to the engine but why i ask. why. Because i can do it. Because i have the talent. Note the original question. He didnt ask if you coud listen to the engine and hear when u needed to shift. He asked about the speedo.
