boom windshield mounted speakers
Has anyone been able to mount these to a quick release compact windshield? I have an 07 Street Bob and am looking for speaker options and as we all know just because the catalog does not list it doesn't say so doesn't mean it does not work. I like that windshield unit better than the bar mounts. And I have a bagger too so the answer is not get a bagger

No it will not fit the quick release compact windshield. My dealer actually let me take it out and try to fit it on mine and it would not fit. The metal frame strap that goes across the center of the shield is what it mounts to. With the QR shield there's not enough room for it to fit because it hits the headlight. I was just like you and figured it might work even though the book says it doesn't, nope. You may be able to fabricate something to get it to work but I wasn't willing to go through all that.
